Elderly Rights Workshop
As the Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health, we have been long awaiting and contributing to the Elderly Rights Workshop, which took place at Salamis Bay Conti Resort Hotel on 12-13 January under the auspices of the TRNC Presidency. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the realization of this workshop, especially our President Ersin Tatar and his esteemed wife Sibel Tatar.
Elderly rights, elder care, elder discrimination and abuse of the elderly, which were never talked about until our association was established 4 years ago and raised awareness in this area, are now being talked about. In the last four years, we have created awareness about the problems of our elderly people in our country. Now we expect and want our state to take serious steps to solve these problems.
I cannot express how much I want 2023 to be the year in which these problems are solved.
For this purpose, as the Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health, we will continue to work with all relevant institutions and organizations with determination, day and night.
We will frequently knock on the doors of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Social Services Department, the Ministry of Health and municipalities.
