Meeting with British Residents’ Society

Members of the Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health (AERHM) and the British
Resident’s Society (BRS) discussed the latest developments concerning elderly rights facing
the elderly communities in Northern Cyprus, in a meeting on Friday.
AERMH Chairperson Prof. Dr. Hatice Jenkins, ERMH Chairperson Assistant ECOAGE Project
Task Leader Şirin Özkaynak and BRS Chairperson Julian Mawdesley took part in the meeting
in Lefkoşa.
As part of an ongoing collaboration since 2022, the parties discussed issues including elderly
services, elderly abuse and neglect, and upcoming joint activities.
