Protocol signed between University of Kyrenia and Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health

A cooperation protocol was signed between the University of Kyrenia (GU) and Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health in the fields of cultural, social, education and research in order to increase community gains.

The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu, Rector of EMU; Prof. Dr. Hatice Jenkins, Faculty Member of EMU Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Banking and Finance and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health; Şirin Özkaynak, ECOAGE Project Officer for Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health; Fehmi Tokay, Secretary General of GU; and Assoc Prof. Dr Emete Toros, Coordinator of EMU 60+ Age Refreshment University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Salihoğlu stated that they will be very happy to support the Association of Elderly Rights and Mental Health, which responds to a great need of the society. While emphasising that they have shown the importance they attach to this issue with the GU 60+ Age Refreshment University social responsibility project, which has been carried out by GU since 2018 for community members over the age of 60, he stated that they wish to sign many more projects together with this cooperation.
